I write this poem as a way to grieve
I write of a man who's soul is now free
But words alone cant express how we feel
The void in our hearts is very real
His presence will live on in the hearts of us all
And thru the pictures hung on our walls
So as the tears trickle down our face
We will know he is in a better place
For as he lay there in the bed
Barely able to even lift his head
He gave a thumbs up and shot us a grin
For he knew he was going where he had never been
He shook his finger and said no tears.
For he knew he would still be with us thru the rest of our years
