In Loving Memory of Robert L Harsin
Robert Leon Harsin, 77, 0f 804 Saddletree Lane, Madison, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at the Waters of Clifty Falls Nursing Facility.
Born May 25, 1924 in Madison, he was the son of Hobert and Elma R.(King) Harsin, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Harsin was a retired Union Laborer for the #795 Labor Local. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge and a member of the Church of Christ at Madison. He was also active in the Democratic Party. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He served in the 354th Infantry 89th Division where he received the American Theater Ribon, EAME Theater Ribbon w/2 Bronze Stars, Gold Conduct Medal, The Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Victory Medal.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary C Edwards, who he married on July 14, 1947; one son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Carolyn Harsin of Madison; granddaughter, Staci A. Turner of Milton, Kentucky; a grandson, Josh Harsin of Madison, one great-granddaughter, Megan Anne Turner; a sister, Reba Buchanan of Radcliff, Kentucky; two brothers, Jack Harsin of Carrollton and Norman Harsin of Salt Lake City, Utah; and several aunts, uncles, nieces nd nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Harsin was preceded in death by several brothers and one sister.
Evangelist Jeff Rankin will conduct funeral services at 11 A.M. Thursday, February 14, 2002 at the Lytle-Gans Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Moffett Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at the Lytle-Gans Funeral Home from 5 to 8P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00A.M. Thursday.
Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Church of Christ at Madison. Cards will be available at the funeral home.
